What is All Inboxes?

All Inboxes View is a unified workspace that displays every conversation a user has access to in one place. It gathers messages from Team Inboxes, Personal Inboxes, and fallback inboxes into a single, organized interface.

This view is not a separate inbox type. It dynamically groups and filters conversations based on the user’s permissions and inbox connections, allowing users to monitor all messages efficiently without switching between multiple inboxes.

What is All Inboxes?

How admins can manage access

The All Inboxes View automatically follows the visibility permissions and inbox associations already configured in the account.

Users will only see conversations from inboxes they are connected to, are watching, or personally own.

No additional setup or configuration is required from admins once user permissions are properly defined.

How users can use All Inboxes view

When users open the All Inboxes tab under the Team Inboxes section, they can view all conversations they have permission to access. Each message includes a visible tag that indicates which inbox it came from, making it easy to distinguish between conversations from different teams or departments.

How users can use All Inboxes view

Users can select between two viewing styles. The Threaded View shows only the most recent message per contact, which is helpful for quickly scanning active conversations. The Unthreaded View lists all individual communications for users who prefer a detailed timeline of interactions.

Filtering options are available within the All Inboxes interface. Users can apply the Inbox Filter to narrow down the results to specific inboxes, such as Support or Sales.

The Line Selector is also available in the message composer, allowing users to choose which phone number to send messages from. The available lines are automatically linked to the inboxes the user is connected to.

Outbound messages continue to follow standard routing rules, ensuring that the correct inbox ownership and reporting structure are preserved.

How "All Inboxes" connects with other tools

All Inboxes View is fully integrated with existing inbox management and routing logic. It uses the same line-to-inbox relationships for outbound messages and includes the Line Selector feature from the Dialer directly within the message composer.

It also respects visibility limits, such as “Owned Only” and “Team-Owned Only,” ensuring that users only see conversations they are authorized to access. This integration allows teams to maintain clear accountability while benefiting from a consolidated workspace.
