What is Aloware fixer?
Aloware phone fixer helps you maintain clean and accurate phone data inside HubSpot. It automatically validates, formats, and classifies phone numbers in your CRM, helping your team connect with real contacts and avoid wasted effort on undeliverable numbers.
Aloware Phone Fixer automates phone data cleanup inside HubSpot. Once connected, it:
Validates numbers to confirm if they’re valid, invalid, or unknown.
Formats phone data into a consistent international format.
Detects number types (mobile, landline, VoIP) for better campaign targeting.
Adds country and state details for more relevant outreach.
Works in workflows so your data stays clean automatically.
Why accurate phone data matters in HubSpot
Keeping your HubSpot contact list accurate ensures your calls and texts reach real people. Invalid or unformatted numbers often lead to failed calls, undelivered messages, or inaccurate segmentation.
Aloware phone fixer solves this by continuously updating and organizing phone data, no manual cleanup needed.
Prerequisites
Before using phone fixer:
You must have an active HubSpot account with access to workflows.
Ensure your contacts have phone number properties (e.g., phone number, mobile phone).
Install phone fixer from the HubSpot Marketplace.
How to set up phone fixer
Step 1: Install the app from the HubSpot Marketplace
Go to the HubSpot App Marketplace.
Search for phone fixer.
Click Install App and follow the authorization steps to connect it to your HubSpot account.
Step 2: Map your contact properties
Go to Marketplace > Connected Apps > Apps tab.
Find phone fixer, then from the Actions menu, select Go to Settings.
Map your contact fields:
Use online lookup – runs a live check to verify phone numbers and update their details in real time. This option gives the most accurate results and is recommended for most users.
When disabled, it uses stored data to check phone numbers without running a live lookup. It’s quicker but may not always reflect recent changes.
Phone number property - the field where your raw phone numbers are stored.
Disable webhook updates - when the phone number property is mapped, Phone Fixer automatically triggers updates when a contact is created or when that property changes. This setting prevents automated updates from checking those contacts again after they’ve been processed.
When selected, Phone Fixer will skip automated rechecks and updates for contacts after the initial processing.
Phone number/ Mobile number/ Fax - contact fields that hold the numbers to be checked.
Formatted number property - where the cleaned and formatted number will be saved.
Number type property - where the mobile, landline, or VoIP type will appear (i.e., custom field = LRN Type).
Country (optional) - saves the country derived from the number lookup.
State (optional) - saves the state derived from the lookup result.
Note - The settings configured on this page are separate from those in HubSpot Workflows. Changes made here will not affect how Phone Fixer runs in your workflows.
