Overview

Under A2P 10DLC, commercial texters will need to register information about their business, use cases, and specific campaigns directly with U.S. telco networks.

Aloware provides a page for the registration of your business in compliance with the following Spam Prevention measures set up by the FCC and carriers:

  • STIR/ SHAKEN

  • A2P 10DLC

  • CNAM Caller ID Registration


How to Register in A2P 10DLC

Aloware will be gathering the necessary information from our clients in order to manage the registration process. Once registered, the networks will determine the volume and level of filtering for texting campaigns based on an assigned Trust Score.

  • In your Aloware account, go to the Account menu > Compliance tab

  • Click the Register My Business button

Compliance Wizard will display, and your registration's progress bar


Step 1: Business Registration

  • Check the box if you agree to pay a one-time $44 registration fee for US A2P.

  • Provide your business information

    • Business Name

    • Business Type

      • Partnership

      • Sole Proprietorship

      • Limited Liability Corporation

      • Corporation

      • Co-operative

      • Non-profit Corporation

    • Company Status

      • Private

      • Public

    • Business ID Type

      • USA - Employer Identification Number (EIN)

      • Canada - Business Number (BIN)

      • Great Britain - Company Number

      • Australia - Company Number from ASIC (ACN)

      • India - Corporate Identity Number

      • Estonia - VAT Number

      • Romania - VAT Registration Number

    • Business Industry

    • Business Registration Number

      • USA & Canada

      • Latin America

      • Europe

      • Asia

      • Africa

    • Business Regions of Operation

    • Website URL

  • Provide your Address and Information

    • Street, City

    • State/ Province/ Region

    • Postal Code

    • Country


Step 2: Point of Contact

  • Provide the contact person's details:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

    • Work Cell

    • Title

    • Job Position

  • Click Next: Use Case Registration once you are done.


Step 3: Use Case Registration

  • Check the box if you agree to pay a one-time $50 per campaign fee.

  • Provide the Line to register

  • Select the type of use case or campaign

    • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) - Any authentication or account verification such as OTP

    • Account Notification - Notifications about the status of an account or related to being a part of an account

    • Customer Care - Support, account management, and other avenues of customer interaction

    • Delivery Notification - Information about the status of a delivery

    • Fraud Alert Messaging - Messaging about potentially fraudulent activity, such as spending alerts

    • Higher Education - Message campaigns from colleges, universities, and other educational institutions

    • Low Volume Mixed - A campaign that covers multiple use cases such as Customer Care and Delivery Notifications.

      • 📝 Note - mixed campaigns are likely to have lower throughput and a higher cost per message

    • Marketing - Promotional content such as sales and limited-time offers

    • Mixed - A campaign that covers multiple use cases, such as Customer Care and Delivery Notifications. Note - mixed campaigns are likely to have lower throughput and a higher cost per message

    • Polling and Voting - For conducting polling and voting, such as customer surveys. Not for political use

    • Public Service Announcements - PSAs to raise audience awareness about a given topic

    • Security Alert - Notification of a compromised system (software or hardware related)

  • Provide the following details:

    • Use Case Description

    • Message Sample #1 - include a sample message you use to send based on the use case

    • Message Sample #2

    • Message Contents - select if messages will include the following

      • The message will include embedded links

      • The message will include phone numbers

    • Agree on Terms and Conditions and recurring monthly carrier fee of $10

  • Click the Next: Exceptions & Limitations button once done


Step 4: Exceptions and Limitations

  • Identify the Line to use

    • Local Presence Phone Numbers

    • Toll-Free Numbers

    • International Numbers

  • Click the Register My Business button once you are done


Step 5: Finish

  • This confirms that you are done with the registration, and you need to wait for the result. To understand the status of your registration, read the A2P 10DLC Registration Statuses.
