  2. Create a new Zap on the Dashboard by selecting a Trigger and an Action.

    1. Select Webhooks by Zapier as the Event (Trigger) app and the Effect App you want to automate an action for (for this tutorial, we'll log new contacts we create in Google Sheets).

    2. Select the event action's Catch Hook action and the relevant effect action (e.g., Create Spreadsheet Rows). Catch Hook allows us to grab Aloware's webhook response (which fires when we create a contact or any number of events) and parse the event's values.

  3. Click Get Started.

    1. If asked, authenticate the Trigger App and select the relevant forms.

    2. If asked, authenticate the Aloware App. Provide your Aloware account's API token found under (Integrations > Lead API).

  4. Set up the Webhook.

    1. Copy the URL Zapier provides so it can listen to Aloware's Webhook.

    2. In Aloware Webhooks, create a new webhook, select the event, and paste the Zapier URL in the URL field.

    3. You can leave the Set a Child Key field blank.

    4. Test the Webhook by performing the Aloware event you selected (in this example I'm going to create a new contact with the name John Grant (Zapier) in Aloware.

    5. Move to the Test trigger step. Zapier should catch the webhook event and parse the data for you.

    6. Click Continue.

  5. Configure the Action app - Configure the Account and map the necessary variables to the Action app for seamless integration and automation.

  6. Test the Action - Once you have configured the Action app, it's time to test it. Simply check the Google Sheet to see if the newly created contact has been successfully added. If you find that some of the mapped variables in the Action App need to be adjusted, you can easily reconfigure them to ensure they appear correctly.
