HubSpot Custom Field Mapping links Aloware and HubSpot contacts. Admins set up mappings for personalized data syncing. Delete mappings when needed.
HubSpot Custom Field Mapping is a feature that lets you personalize HubSpot fields and link them to Aloware. You can easily create new fields in Aloware, specify the data type, and sync them.
- Before you get started, make sure your Aloware account is connected to your HubSpot account.
- Only Admins can set up HubSpot mapping fields.
- Ensure you have created your custom contact fields in Aloware from the Account's menu.
How to Set Up HubSpot Mapping Fields in Aloware
Aloware supports custom field mapping for each HubSpot account integration. This allows you to tailor HubSpot records to match your Aloware fields. Here's how:
In Aloware Admin, go to Integrations > HubSpot > Settings.
In the HubSpot Integration Settings page, navigate to the Contact Property Mapping section.
Under the Default Fields section, switch on the Enable Editing option. Remember to turn it off after making your changes.
In the Default Fields section, you will notice default contact properties that have lock icons, indicating that they cannot be edited.
The Direction column indicates whether the data is synced in both directions (two-way synced) or only in one direction (one-way synced) between Aloware and HubSpot.
Now, let's map Aloware fields to HubSpot fields:
- Aloware Phone Number maps to HubSpot Phone Number.
- Aloware Contact Disposition Status maps to HubSpot Lead Status.
- Aloware Email maps to HubSpot Email.
When you create a field in HubSpot, it comes with a specific data type. Make sure to match the data types for compatibility. For instance, don't map a text field to a number field.
To add more mappings, click the "Add Mapping" button. Admins cannot map the same Aloware or HubSpot contact field multiple times.
Here's a list of Aloware and HubSpot contact fields you can map:
Personal Information: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth
Contact Information: Phone Number, Email, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Country, Website
Business Information: Company Name
Communication Channels: Incoming Number, Last Incoming SMS, Last Outgoing SMS, Last Incoming Messages, Last Outgoing Messages, Last Incoming Call, Last Outgoing Call, Total text incoming messages, Total outgoing text messages, Total incoming calls, Total outgoing calls
Lead and Contact Management: Lead Source, Contact Disposition Status, Contact Owner, Custom Field 1, Custom Field 2, TCPA Approved, Aloware Contact Link, Aloware Contact ID
- Contact Information: Contact Information, Email Information
- Social Media: Facebook Ads Properties, Twitter Username
- Deal and Sale Information: Deal Information, Sale Properties

To ensure that specific data from Aloware, such as the contact ID or contact link, is synced with HubSpot, it is necessary to add a custom contact field in HubSpot.
Adding Custom Contact Fields in HubSpot
First, you need to create custom contact fields in HubSpot and map them to Aloware:
Log in to your HubSpot account and click the Settings icon.
In the side panel, go to Properties under the Data Management section.
Click the "Create Property" button to add a new property.
Fill in the required details for the new property.
You can add various properties in HubSpot, once created, you'll see these fields in HubSpot:

Adding Custom Contact Fields in HubSpot and Aloware Integration
After creating custom contact fields in HubSpot, follow these steps:
Go to the Integration menu and select the HubSpot card. Click the "Settings" button.
Ensure "Enable Editing" is on in the Contact Property mapping section.
Under "Custom Fields," click the "+Add Mapping" button.
Select the Aloware field and corresponding HubSpot contact property, then click "Save" to add your new custom contact fields.
Remember, Admins cannot map the same field multiple times.
Verifying the Mapped Fields
After mapping, click the "Pull Contacts" button in your Aloware account to sync contact information from HubSpot.
To check if the mapped fields are working, select a contact with a "Competitor Lead Source" in HubSpot, search for the contact in Aloware, and view the contact information profile.
How to Delete HubSpot Mapping Fields
To delete HubSpot mapping fields, follow these steps:
Click the trash icon next to the field you want to delete.
Click "Save" to confirm the deletion.
