Sending and Receiving Fax in Aloware

Aloware simplifies faxing for businesses. Send and receive faxes within the platform. Choose a contact, select a fax-enabled line, upload a PDF file (up to 8 MB), and send. Access received faxes in the communication history.

If you think that faxing is a thing of the past, think again! Many businesses still rely on faxing to communicate with their customers. The good news is that Aloware makes faxing easier, allowing you to send and receive faxes right from the platform.

In this article, we will show you how to send and receive faxes in Aloware. So let's dive in!


Prerequisite

Ensure that you have a fax-enabled number in Aloware. If you don't have one, reach out to our support team for assistance.


Sending Fax in Aloware

  1. To send a fax within Aloware, select a contact from your Aloware Talk account. You can search for them or browse through your contact list.

  2. Once you have selected a contact, select the fax-enabled line. This will enable the "Fax" link in the message box.

  3. To select the file you want to fax, click on "Browse" and find the file in PDF format. Remember, Aloware only accepts files up to 8 MB.

  4. Once you've found the file, click on it and hit the Open button to upload it.

  5. With the file uploaded, click the Send Fax button.

  6. Aloware will display a notification to let you know if your fax has been sent successfully.

  7. The communication history of the contact will show the fax as a record of the sent fax.


Receiving Faxes in Aloware

Aloware also allows users to receive fax messages in addition to sending them.

To access your received faxes, click the Inbound Fax from the communication history box and the following details will display:

  • Disposition - status of the fax sent to you whether successful or not

  • From - the line used to send the fax

  • To - the line that received the fax

  • Sent at - the date and time the fax sent

  • Line - the name of the line that was used to send the fax

  • Files - a copy of the file that was sent

  • Notes - any notes related to the fax

  • Tags - optional tags to add to categorize your received faxes
