This guide shows you how to set up synchronization between Aloware contact dispositions and Salesforce lead statuses. This integration keeps your disposition data consistent across both systems without manual updates.

Teams using both platforms will experience reduced data entry needs, consistent status information, better team coordination, faster follow-up processes, and more reliable reporting.

Setting up synchronization

  1. Access lead status settings

    1. Open your Salesforce integrations settings.

    2. Navigate to the contact property mapping section.

  2. Configure contact position mapping

    1. In the Aloware column, find the Contact's Disposition Status option.

    2. In the Salesforce column, select the Status option.

    3. Set your synchronization direction:

      • Bidirectional (↔) - updates flow both ways

      • Inbound only (←) - updates flow from Aloware to Salesforce

  3. Import lead statuses

    1. Locate the "Pull Lead Status" button in the interface.

    2. Click to import all lead statuses from Salesforce to Aloware.

    3. You'll receive an email confirmation listing all imported statuses.

    4. Save your changes to apply the configuration.

  4. Verify configuration

    1. After saving, check if Contact Dispositions in Aloware match Salesforce lead statuses.

    2. Allow a few moments for synchronization to complete.

    3. Confirm status values are displaying correctly in both systems.

  5. Test Salesforce to Aloware sync

    1. In Salesforce, select a lead and change its status (e.g., from "Open - Not Contacted" to "Working - Contacted").

    2. Save the changes in Salesforce.

    3. Check Aloware to confirm the contact disposition updated accordingly.

  6. Testing the synchronization in Aloware

    1. Change a contact disposition in Aloware (e.g., after completing a call).

    2. Verify the change appears in Salesforce as the corresponding lead status. Confirm the status updates in both directions if using bidirectional sync
