Aloware reports an error code whenever a call or text fails to go through. Each code points to a specific cause, such as an invalid number, a connection timeout, or a sending limit.
This article lists the codes you are most likely to see, explains what each one means, and gives the steps to resolve it.
The codes fall into two groups: messaging errors that occur when sending SMS or MMS, and call errors that occur when placing or connecting a call.
Check the group that matches the action you were taking when the error appeared.
Messaging errors
These errors occur when you send an SMS or MMS and the message fails to queue or deliver.
Error code | Description | Solution |
Error 21611 | Exceeded message queue limit for a specific number. | Slow down the message sending rate or opt for a messaging service to better handle the volume. |
Error 21612 | Invalid destination phone number. | Double-check the phone number for accuracy. Even small typos can cause delivery failures. |
Error 21614 | The contact phone number is not a valid mobile number. | Ensure you're using a valid mobile number for your contact. Landlines and incorrect number formats can trigger this error. |
Error 31000 | General communication framework issue. | Contact Aloware support for assistance in diagnosing and resolving this issue. |
Error 31003 or 53405 | Call connection timed out. | Contact support to investigate any network or server-related issues that may be causing timeouts. |
Error 31005 | Network connectivity or hostname resolution problem. | Check your internet connection and network settings to ensure that everything is functioning properly. |
Error 1002 | The caller hung up too quickly. | If this issue persists, reach out to support for further investigation. |

These errors occur when you place a call or while a call tries to connect.

When to contact support
Some errors require Aloware support to trace the call or message on the backend. Before you reach out, gather the details that let support locate the event quickly:
The exact error code and the message text shown.
The date and time the error occurred, including your time zone.
The phone number you were calling or texting and the Aloware line you used.
Whether the error happens every time or only intermittently.
