Understanding the difference between contacts and leads in Salesforce
Before diving into syncing Salesforce with Aloware, it's helpful to understand the difference between "Contacts" and "Leads" in Salesforce.
Leads are potential customers who have shown interest in you product or service but have not yet been qualified.
Contacts are qualified individuals linked to accounts or opportunities, representing more concrete business relationships.
Syncing data from Salesforce to Aloware
The integration comes with a manual "Pull" feature, allowing you to update Aloware with the most recent Salesforce data whenever you need it. This manual sync ensures your contact details are always accurate and reduces the need for manual updates.
Here's how you can manually sync data from Salesforce to Aloware:
Click the Pull Contacts button to manually sync data contact details:
Click the Pull Salesforce Leads button to import leads from Salesforce into Aloware, where they will be saved as contacts.
Bidirectional syncing
Configure settings to enable bidirectional updates, allowing data created or updated on one platform to sync with the other.
You can configure the sync settings to work in three (3) ways:
Only from Aloware to Salesforce - data created or updated in Aloware will sync to Salesforce.
Only from Salesforce to Aloware - data will sync in the opposite direction.
Bidirectional sync - updates made in either platform will sync to the other, keeping everything aligned across both platforms.
How can an average user use this?
The integration is designed to make managing contacts and leads easier. Whether you create or update contacts or leads in Aloware or Salesforce, the data will automatically sync to the other platform--ensuring your information stays up to date without the need for manual entry.
Contacts and Leads Synchronization
Aloware also offers direct links to your Salesforce contacts and leads, so you can easily jump into either system to manage customer information. This streamlines the process, allowing you to focus on building relationships instead of managing data.
What important configuration does this take?
To ensure everything runs smoothly, follow these steps:
Ensure the integration is enabled through the Aloware admin settings.
Set synchronization preferences according to business needs, selecting which data (contacts or leads) to synchronize.
Regularly verify authentication status and reconfigure if necessary to maintain a secure connection.
