Configuring AloAi Agent to send SMS action

The AloAi Agent automates SMS communication for tasks like appointment confirmations, product updates, and notifications. Using the Send SMS action in Aloware, the agent sends text messages directly to contacts, automating updates, reminders, and confirmations. This feature works with voice commands, chat interactions, and appointment scheduling to simplify communication with minimal manual effort.


Step 1: Accessing the configuration panel

To begin, log in to your Aloware admin account and access the AloAi Agents menu within your admin dashboard.

  1. For existing agents, select the agent to edit its settings and access the Prompt tab to adjust actions.

  2. For new agents, create an instance of the AloAi agent. If you need assistance, refer to the setup guide.


Step 2: Setting up the send SMS action

After accessing the agent settings:

  1. Define prompts - identify the specific triggers that will prompt the AloAI Agent to send an SMS. Example triggers may include:

    • Sending a confirmation message after an appointment is scheduled.

    • Notifying a customer of a status update.

  2. Add the SMS action - in the instructions section, click +Add action and select send SMS. Specify the conditions under which the SMS should be sent, such as after confirming an appointment.

  3. Customize SMS templates - craft message templates in the notifications section. Your appointment is confirmed for (date/time). Duration: 30 minutes. Location: 123 Business Lane. Please arrive 10 minutes early.


Step 3: Testing the setup

Simulation ensures that the configuration is implemented correctly:

  1. Simulate SMS triggers - enroll a contact in the AloAi Agent to test scenarios, such as event confirmations, to trigger SMS notifications.

  2. Validate results - confirm that messages are sent to the correct recipients and reflect the event details accurately.

  3. Troubleshoot - if issues arise (e.g., incorrect messages or missed notifications), adjust the prompts or configurations and retest.


Advanced features with related tools

  1. Calendar integration - Synchronize SMS notifications with tools like Google Calendar or Outlook to confirm events and provide reminders visible across platforms.

  2. CRM integration - Combine SMS actions with CRM tools to enhance communication and track customer interactions comprehensively.

  3. Analytics - Leverage insights from SMS notification trends to identify peak engagement times and optimize workflows.
