About Aloware contact link

The Aloware Contact Link is a URL field that connects Salesforce records to their corresponding Aloware contacts. This field allows users to access a contact's complete Aloware profile directly from Salesforce with a single click.

Once configured, users can navigate between systems without manually searching for contacts, enabling direct access to communication history, call recordings, and other Aloware-specific information from within the Salesforce interface.

Steps in syncing the Aloware contact field in Salesforce and Aloware

  1. Creating the Aloware contact link field

Create a URL custom field in Salesforce named Aloware Contact Link. For detailed instructions on creating custom fields in Salesforce, refer to Salesforce custom field documentation.

  2. Mapping the Aloware contact link in integration settings

    1. Access Aloware settings

Log into your Aloware admin account and click the settings button to access configuration options. This grants you access to the integration management interface where field mappings are configured.

    2. Configure field mapping

      1. Navigate to Integration settings > Salesforce integration.

      2. Navigate Contact Property Mapping and locate the Aloware Contact Link property in the available Aloware fields.

      3. Map it to your newly created Aloware_Contact_Link Salesforce custom field.

      4. Save your mapping configuration.

    3. Validate the integration

      1. Verify that Salesforce Object Integration (contact update) is enabled.

      2. Create or update a contact in Aloware.

      3. Check the corresponding Salesforce record to confirm the Aloware Contact Link field is populated.

      4. Click the link to verify it correctly navigates to the contact's profile in Aloware.

Troubleshooting

If your Aloware Contact Link isn't working properly, check these common issues:

  1. Verify field-level security permissions are correctly set for relevant profiles in Salesforce.

  2. Confirm the integration between Aloware and Salesforce is active and authenticated.

  3. Ensure field mapping is properly saved with both systems communicating.

  4. If the link appears but doesn't function, verify the URL format from Aloware contains the proper protocol (https://).
