Introduction to A2P 10DLC and compliance measures

A2P 10DLC registration is required for businesses sending commercial text messages to comply with FCC and carrier regulations. In Aloware, the Compliance page helps you manage your registration process, monitor approval statuses, and complete the steps needed to stay compliant.

The registration process typically takes 1-7 business days, depending on the accuracy of the information provided and the carrier's queue load. Approval times for campaigns usually range from 2-5 business days, excluding weekends.

Aloware provides a page for the registration of your business in compliance with the following Spam Prevention measures set up by the FCC and carriers:

  1. STIR/ SHAKEN

  2. A2P 10DLC

  3. CNAM Caller ID Registration

Accessing the compliance page

To manage your A2P 10DLC registration compliance, Aloware provides a dedicated compliance page within your account. By following a few simple steps, you can access this page and monitor the status of your registration process.

You can also monitor your registration progress through regular updates from the support team or by checking the status on your Aloware account.

Here's how to find the compliance page in your Aloware account:

  1. Log in to your Aloware account and go to the Account menu. Select the Compliance tab to track your registration progress.

  2. Once you're on the compliance page, you'll find detailed information about your registration progress and the current status of your compliance. The page displays the following:

Status - The status indicates the progress of your registration process. It can be one of the following options:

    • Not Started - This status indicates that you haven't initiated the registration process.

    • In Review - If your registration is under review by the compliance team, this status will be displayed. The team is assessing your compliance documentation and ensuring it meets the requirements.

    • Rejected - If your registration is rejected, it means there were compliance issues or missing information in your submission. You will need to address the concerns and resubmit your documentation.

    • Approved - When your registration is successfully approved, this status will be displayed. It confirms that your A2P 10DLC compliance has met the requirements.

    • Needs Attention - here's a note that there are issues or missing information that must be addressed before approval.

  3. Registration steps - The Compliance page also provides a breakdown of the registration steps involved. These steps help guide you through the process and ensure you complete all the requirements. The steps typically include:

    1. Business Registration - This step involves providing relevant information about your business, such as company name, address, and contact details. It helps establish the legitimacy of your organization.

    2. A2P Brand- Here, you will need to specify the brand associated with your numbers. This is important for identification and branding purposes.

    3. Campaigns- In this step, you will define the campaigns associated with your numbers. It helps categorize your messaging activities and ensures compliance with regulations.

    4. Unregistered Lines - This step focuses on unregistered lines and provides instructions on how to register them. Registering unregistered lines is essential for compliance and maintaining uninterrupted messaging capabilities.

Typical approval timelines for registration range from 1-7 business days, while campaign approvals usually take 2-5 business days. Carrier review times can extend to 1-2 weeks but are often completed sooner. Factors such as the accuracy of your information and carrier queue load can affect these timelines.
