The Send SMS action allows the AloAi Agent to automate text message communication for tasks such as appointment confirmations, product updates, and notifications. By automating these processes, businesses can simplify communication, reduce manual effort, and improve customer engagement.


Prerequisite: Setting up the AloAi Agent

Before configuring the Send SMS action, ensure the following:

  • Complete the AloAi Agent setup

  • Enable SMS features in Aloware

    Verify that your Aloware account has SMS capabilities enabled.


Configuring the Send SMS action

  1. Define prompts

    Create triggers that will prompt the AloAi Agent to send SMS messages.

    Examples include:

    • Appointment confirmations - sending a confirmation message when an appointment is scheduled.

    • Status updates - notifying a customer of a status update or product shipment.

    • Reminders - reminding a customer of an upcoming meeting or event.

  2. Add the SMS action

    1. Go to the instructions section of the AloAi Agent settings.

    2. Specify the conditions under which the SMS should be sent, such as following an appointment confirmation or customer inquiry.

    3. Click +Add action and select the send SMS action.

  3. Customize SMS message

    Craft clear, concise SMS message. Example: "Your appointment is confirmed for [date/time]."
