Aloware supports global keyboard shortcuts that allow agents to manage calls directly from their keyboard. This reduces mouse dependency and improves speed during live call handling.
Where keyboard shortcuts work
Keyboard shortcuts can be used in the web dialer and the desktop app. They are active when the dialer window is focused and a call is incoming or in progress.
Actions execute only when valid for the current call state and permitted by the user’s role.
Supported shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts enable agents to control essential call actions during live interactions. Supported actions include answering an incoming call, rejecting a call, hanging up an active call, muting or unmuting, opening the keypad, and managing call transitions.
When a shortcut is triggered, the interface provides immediate visual confirmation such as “Call answered,” “Call rejected,” or “Call muted,” ensuring agents can verify that the action was applied.
Shortcuts are designed to work reliably within supported browsers and operating systems while minimizing conflicts with common system-level commands.
How to discover shortcuts
To view all available keyboard shortcuts:
Click the “?” help icon in the header.
Select see keyboard shortcuts.
A panel will open showing shortcuts for both Windows and Mac systems. This makes it easy for agents to learn and adopt shortcut usage.
Why use keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts improve operational efficiency by enabling faster call handling and smoother multitasking, especially in high-volume environments. They support consistent workflows and allow agents to respond quickly during live conversations without shifting focus away from the dialer.
