HubSpot Custom Field Mapping is a feature that lets you personalize HubSpot fields and link them to Aloware. You can easily create new fields in Aloware, specify the data type, and sync them.
Prerequisites
Before you get started, make sure your Aloware account is connected to your HubSpot account.
Only Admins can set up HubSpot mapping fields.
Ensure you have created your custom contact fields in Aloware from the Account's menu.
Setting up HubSpot Mapping Fields in Aloware
Step 1: Adding Custom Contact Fields in HubSpot
Aloware supports custom field mapping for each HubSpot account integration. This allows you to tailor HubSpot records to match your Aloware fields.
First, you need to create custom contact fields in HubSpot and map them to Aloware:
Log in to your HubSpot account, click the Settings icon, then go to Properties in the Data Management section.
Click the "Create Property" button to add a new property.
Fill in the required details for the new property.
You can add various properties in HubSpot, once created, you'll see these fields in HubSpot:

Step 2: Adding Custom Contact Fields in HubSpot and Aloware
After creating custom contact fields in HubSpot, follow these steps:
Access the HubSpot settings from the Integration menu, then make sure to turn on "Enable Editing" in the Contact Property mapping section.
Under "Custom Fields," click the "+Add Mapping" button.
Select the Aloware field and corresponding HubSpot contact property, then click "Save" to add your new custom contact fields.
Remember, Admins cannot map the same field multiple times.
Step 3: Mapping Custom Contact Fields in Aloware
In Aloware Admin, go to Integrations > HubSpot > Settings.
Go to the "Contact Property Mapping" section on the HubSpot Integration Settings page and switch on "Enable Editing" under the Default Fields section, remembering to turn it off after making your changes.
In the Default Fields section, you will notice default contact properties that have lock icons, indicating that they cannot be edited.
The "Direction" column shows if data syncs both ways (two-way synced) or just one way (one-way synced) between Aloware and HubSpot.
Now, let's map Aloware fields to HubSpot fields:
Aloware Phone Number maps to HubSpot Phone Number.
Aloware Contact Disposition Status maps to HubSpot Lead Status.
Aloware Email maps to HubSpot Email.
Mapping the customized contact fields:
Aloware State maps to HubSpot State/Region. But HubSpot State/Field does not sync back to Aloware.
HubSpot Postal Code syncs as Zipcode to Aloware. But Aloware Zipcode does not sync back to HubSpot.
Contact Owner syncs on both platforms.
When you create a field in HubSpot, it comes with a specific data type. Make sure to match the data types for compatibility. For instance, don't map a text field to a number field.
To add more mappings, click the "Add Mapping" button. Admins cannot map the same Aloware or HubSpot contact field multiple times.
