Add custom contact fields in Aloware to capture business-specific data and optionally sync them with HubSpot.

Setting Up Custom Contact Fields in Aloware

Every Aloware contact includes standard fields like first name, last name, and company name.

If you need to track additional information specific to your business, you can create custom contact fields and optionally map them to sync with HubSpot.


Before you start

You need access to an Aloware admin account to manage custom contact fields.

Add a custom contact field

  1. In your Aloware admin account, navigate to the Account menu.

  2. Go to the contact custom fields tab.

  3. Click the add new button or the add new custom field button.

  4. Complete the details:

    • Name - provide a name to your custom field.

    • Key - only lowercase characters, numbers, and underscores are allowed. Example: "middle_name".

    • Description - describe the field.

  5. Click the save button to successfully add your custom contact field.


Confirm the field was added

There are two (2) ways to verify the field was created:

  1. Custom contact fields' dashboard

    After saving, the new field appears in the dashboard list.

  2. Contact record

    Go to the Contacts menu in Aloware Talk, select a contact, scroll to the About This Contact section, and look for your new field under Custom Contact Fields.
