To improve security, Aloware no longer sends passwords in plain text via email. Instead, only users can set or change their own passwords. Admins cannot create or update passwords on behalf of users.

Setting passwords for new users

When you add a new user, Aloware sends them a welcome email with a verification link. Clicking the link takes them to a password setup page, where they can create their password. The link is valid for 5 days.

If it expires, go to Users, search for the user’s name, and select Resend welcome email.

Users setting their own password

The welcome email includes a link to confirm the user’s email address. Once confirmed, the user is redirected to a password setup page to create a password and accept Aloware’s terms.

After saving, they’re logged in to Aloware Talk and can start using it right away.

Changing passwords for existing users

Existing users can update their password anytime in Aloware Talk.

  1. Log in and go to Settings > Profile > Change password.

  2. Enter the current password.

  3. Set a new password and save.
