What are Lines in Aloware?
Lines in Aloware are where your business phone numbers live. A single line can hold multiple numbers for inbound and outbound calls or texts. Each line controls how messages and calls are routed, to users, ring groups, or IVR flows.
Admins use the Lines page to configure routing, greetings, recordings, and compliance options. Only admins can add or delete lines.
Only admins have access to add or delete lines in Aloware.
How to add a new line in Aloware
When you sign up for Aloware, a new line is automatically created for you. To add more:
Open the lines page
Log in to your Aloware admin account.
From the sidebar, click Lines, then select +Add Line to start creating a new one.

Name your line and set how it routes calls
In the New Line Wizard, enter a descriptive name for your line—something that makes sense for your team, like “Outbound Sales – LA” or “Support Weekend.”
Then choose how this line should route incoming calls:
To a ring group if you want multiple users to receive calls
To a specific user if one person will handle the calls
To a dead end if you only want to play a message and end the call
Click Next: Select Phone Number to move forward.
Choose a phone number for the line
A pop-up will appear to help you pick a phone number.
Register the line
If your account already has a messaging campaign registered, you’ll see an option to assign this new line to that campaign.
Finalize and review
After activation, you’ll get a confirmation message. You can now review the line’s settings and follow the suggested next steps, such as setting up greetings or enabling compliance features.
How to delete a line in Aloware
To remove a line, go to the Lines tab, locate the one you want to delete, and click the Delete button. Confirm when prompted.
Deleting a line is permanent. The associated phone number will be released, cannot be recovered, and will no longer appear in your billing.
