Working with multiple parked calls in Aloware Talk

Park multiple calls at once in Talk. See every parked call in one list and unpark any one you choose, while the others stay parked.

Parking a call places it on hold on a shared line so any agent can pick it back up. Talk supports multiple parked calls at the same time. Each parked call stays listed individually, and you choose which one to return to.

Before you start

Multiple call parking is available in Talk, including the Talk desktop app. Keep Talk updated to the current version so the parked-calls list and its count badge are available to you.

Parking a call

To park the call you are on, open the call controls and select Park.

The call moves to the shared parking area, and the parked-calls control appears in Talk with a count badge showing how many calls are currently parked.

Parking another call while one is already parked adds it to the list. The count badge increases, and both calls remain individually listed.

Viewing and unparking a specific call

Open the parked-calls control to see every call currently parked. The list shows each parked call with its own Unpark button, so you can return to any call in the list regardless of the order it was parked in.

Selecting Unpark on one call connects you to that caller and leaves every other parked call untouched. The count badge updates to reflect the calls that are still parked.

Confirming your parked calls

The parked-calls control is the source of truth for what is parked. Two indicators tell you the current state:

  • The count badge shows the total number of calls currently parked on the line.

  • The list below it names each parked call with its own Unpark button.

If the badge and the list do not match what you expect, confirm the softphone is running the current version, then reopen the parked-calls control to refresh the list.
