Accurately categorizing phone line types (e.g., Wireless, Landline, VoIP) in your contact database enhances communication strategies. This guide shows you how to set up a custom property in HubSpot and enable line type mapping in Aloware for precise data synchronization, leading to more targeted and effective outreach.
Setting up Aloware-HubSpot integration for phone line types
Step 1: Create a custom contact property in HubSpot
Access HubSpot settings
Log in to your HubSpot account and navigate to the settings menu.
Create custom property
Go to Data Management > Integrations > Data Management > Properties.
Click the Create Property button to add a new custom contact property.
Name the property LRN Type or Line Type and set the attribute type to multiple checkboxes.
Set up multiple checkboxes
Add the following options within the multiple checkboxes field. These options represent the different types of phone lines that will be mapped and synced.
Wireless
Landline
VoIP
Unknown
Invalid
Foreign (international)
Step 2: Enable line type mapping in Aloware integration settings
Access integration settings
Open Aloware and go to the integration settings menu.
Enable editing
Within the settings, enable the Edit mode to allow modifications.
Add line type mapping
Select Add Mapping and choose the line type field.
Map this field to the custom contact property created in HubSpot. In this example, the custom field is labeled as LRN Type or Line Type.
Save the mapping.
Step 3: Sync LRN type to HubSpot
Once the mapping is saved, the line type (LRN) will automatically sync from Aloware to HubSpot. This sync ensures that the correct phone line type for the primary number is associated with each contact.
