This article provides clear, step-by-step instructions for enabling and mapping the line type field within the HubSpot and Aloware integration.

Follow these steps to set up and synchronize the line type field between Aloware and HubSpot effectively.

Step 1: Create a custom contact property in HubSpot

  1. Access HubSpot settings

Log in to your HubSpot account and navigate to the settings menu.

  2. Create custom property

    1. Go to Data Management > Integrations > Data Management > Properties.

    2. Click the "Create Property" button to add a new custom contact property.

    3. Name the property "LRN Type" or "Line Type" and set the attribute type to multiple checkboxes.

  3. Set up multiple checkboxes

Add the following options within the multiple checkboxes field. These options represent the different types of phone lines that will be mapped and synced.

    1. Wireless

    2. Landline

    3. VoIP

    4. Unknown

    5. Invalid

    6. Foreign (international)

Step 2: Enable line type mapping in Aloware integration settings

  1. Access integration settings - open Aloware and go to the integration settings section.

  2. Enable editing - within the settings, enable the "Edit" mode to allow modifications.

  3. Add line type mapping

    1. Select "Add Mapping" and choose the line type field.

    2. Map this field to the custom contact property created in HubSpot. In this example, the custom field is labeled as "LRN Type" or "Line Type".

  4. Save the mapping - after mapping the fields, save the configuration.

Step 3: Sync LRN type to HubSpot

Once the mapping is saved, the line type (LRN) will automatically sync from Aloware to HubSpot. This sync ensures that the correct phone line type for the primary number is associated with each contact.
