The Aloware Talk Calendar makes scheduling and managing your tasks simple and efficient. Whether you're setting up reminders or booking appointments, here's how to make the most of your calendar.

Accessing the calendar

To get started, click the Calendar icon on the Aloware Talk sidebar. This opens the full calendar view, where you can see all your upcoming events and tasks at a glance.

Creating a new event

Need to add a new task or appointment? Click on a date or use the "Create Event" button.

  1. Appointments are linked to specific contacts and are perfect for scheduling calls or meetings.

  2. Reminders are for general tasks or follow-ups that aren't tied to a specific contact.

Adding event details

When setting up an event, provide the following details:

  1. Event type - select either a reminder or an appointment.

  2. Contact - add the contact's name. This ensures the contact's details, like timezone, are automatically considered when setting up reminders via SMS.

  3. Time and date - select when the event will take place. Aloware Calendar adjusts to the contact’s timezone, displaying a label indicating your timezone for reference. For example:

    • Contact's timezone - Chicago CST, meeting on Nov 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

    • Your timezone - displayed in yellow, indicating Nov 17, 2024, at 12:00 AM.

  4. Notes - include any important context or information about the event.

  5. SMS reminder - Enable this option to send an automatic SMS reminder to the contact. Admins can configure the default SMS reminder message in account > calling settings. For more details, refer to our SMS reminder guide.


Navigating your calendar

Aloware Talk’s Calendar offers flexible viewing options:

  • Day view and month view - toggle between these views to see your schedule in detail. Both views show your account’s and your contact’s timezones.

  • List view - click this button to see all events organized by day or week, showing the event’s date and time.

  • Today button - jump back to the current day’s tasks with a single click.

Understanding the event legend

Use the Help section to understand the legend for event statuses and their colors, making it easier to differentiate between upcoming, past, and cancelled events.

Using filters to manage your schedule

Aloware Talk's calendar lets you easily filter your view:

  • Event type - choose between appointments or reminders.

  • Event status - sort by pending, completed, or canceled tasks.

These filters allow you to focus on what matters most and quickly find specific events.


Managing and editing events

Need to make a change? Click on any event to:

  • Update details - edit the time, contact, or notes as needed.

  • Complete or delete - mark the event as completed or delete it if it’s no longer needed.

These options give you a full control over your schedule, helping you stay organized and prepared.

By using the Aloware Talk Calendar, you can streamline your scheduling and ensure that you’re always prepared for your next call or meeting.
