Imagine running a campaign targeting potential leads. Without Aloware’s Location Routing Numbers (LRN), your agents might waste valuable time calling landlines or fax numbers that don’t support SMS, or worse, invalid numbers that lead to dead ends. This is where Aloware’s LRN feature comes in handy.

Aloware's phone number labeling system categorizes numbers into easy-to-understand types, simplifying contact management. This ensures efficient communication, reduces costs, and improves agent productivity. By identifying invalid and incorrect numbers, Aloware saves time and resources, allowing agents to focus on viable contacts.

Business value of LRN

With Aloware, your agents quickly identify and categorize numbers, ensuring your campaign reaches the right contacts efficiently. This allows your agents to engage with real prospects, boosting your campaign’s success rate.

The LRN feature not only streamlines your communication process but also enhances your business's overall productivity by reducing wasted efforts on invalid numbers.

Phone number labels in Aloware

Aloware provides labels for phone numbers to ensure easy identification, which are divided into three types:

  1. Major types (LRN) - landline, wireless, VOIP, other

  2. Incorrect types - invalid number, wrong number

Major types of Location Routing Numbers (LRN)

Aloware offers an LRN API designed to effortlessly retrieve phone number details and maintain your contact database. Whenever a new phone number is added, Aloware automatically categorizes it into one of these types:

  • Landline

  • Wireless

  • VOIP - allows phone calls through your internet connection

  • Other

Please note that there is a nominal charge of $0.002 (two-tenths of a cent) for each LRN lookup.

Prioritization type: primary number

The primary number is the default number Aloware associates with the contact.

Here is an example screenshot of a contact displaying the primary number associated with it.

For contacts with multiple numbers, you can manually set the primary number interchangeably.

Incorrect types

To maintain a healthy contact list, Aloware added features that can detect invalid numbers. Agents can change the contact's number status to "wrong number" after a call. This way, Aloware avoids these numbers for automated campaigns and lead calls.

Any contact numbers that are tagged as invalid or wrong will not be able to

  1. Make a call-in phone dialer or in the power dialer

  2. Send an SMS, MMS, or fax

  3. Enroll in sequences and broadcast

Invalid number

When making a call, sending a text, or fax, Aloware will receive an error if the number is not supported by a carrier. If this happens, Aloware automatically skips the call and labels the number with "invalid number."

There are multiple ways that the carrier sends an error and flags the number:

  1. Flagged by texting - when texting a contact and our carrier returns an error, the phone number being used will be automatically flagged as invalid and will not be usable anymore on our texting service.

  2. Flagged by faxing - when sending a fax and our carrier returns an error, the phone number being used will be automatically flagged as invalid and will not be usable anymore on our fax service.

  3. Flagged by calling - when calling and our carrier returns an error, the phone number being used will be automatically flagged as invalid and will not be usable anymore on our calling service.
