What is Broadcast in Aloware Talk?

The Broadcast feature in Aloware Talk lets you send messages to a large audience simultaneously. If you need to communicate with multiple contacts or groups efficiently, this feature is perfect for you. It simplifies the process of reaching out, making sure your message is delivered to everyone quickly and effectively.

Broadcast is available in our uPro and xPro plans.

To use the broadcast feature, you need admin permissions. Admins can grant this access through Aloware admin > user profile setting.

How to access the broadcast feature

To access broadcast in Aloware Talk, start by heading to your Aloware Talk account and clicking on the Broadcast menu. This will take you to the broadcasts page, where you can manage and track your campaigns.

For detailed instructions on tracking your campaigns, refer to our guide.

How can a business admin use this?

  1. Initiate your broadcast

Begin by clicking the '+New Bulk Message' button to initiate your broadcast.

  2. Select your contacts

    1. By list - select a pre-defined list of contacts by clicking the By List button. After making your selection, click Next to view a preview of the total contacts chosen for the broadcast.

The preview will also show any contacts on your Do Not Contact (DNC) list, helping to prevent non-compliant messaging.

    2. By integrations - if your Aloware is actively integrated with HubSpot or Zoho, you can synchronize their contact lists.

  3. Assign the line and throttle settings

You'll need to assign the line from which the broadcast will be sent. Throttling options are also available to control how fast messages are sent out.

  4. Compose your message

Enter your message in the provided field. Once done, click the Next button to proceed. An important note is to include the opt-out phrase [Text STOP to unsubscribe] at the end of your message for compliance.

  5. Review credits

Before you send out your broadcast, make sure to review the credits in your Aloware account. You’ll need to have enough credits available, as sending messages will deduct from your balance.

The broadcast cost calculator provides an estimated credit usage for your broadcast. This is just an estimate, and actual carrier charges may differ slightly based on factors such as the message type, the use of emojis, and the phone number used.

  6. Set the schedule

    1. Now - send your message immediately.

    2. Pick a time - schedule your message by selecting the day and time for its delivery. Note that if an admin has predefined broadcast timings in the Account menu, you cannot choose a different time.

  7. Preview and send

Before sending, you'll see a preview showing the total number of contacts, the assigned line, your message, the schedule, throttling options, and the estimated cost. Review everything carefully, and if all looks good, send your broadcast.

Checking broadcast status

To check the status of your broadcasts, go to the broadcast page. By default, the page will display the broadcast status in the last 7 days and the options to filter the statuses such as 'new,' 'enrolling,' 'sent,' 'paused,' 'stopped,' or 'all'.

You’ll also find a chart graph that gives you a visual summary of your broadcast activities, helping you quickly understand the trends and performance of your campaigns.

For detailed instructions on tracking your campaigns, refer to our guide.

Checking broadcast activity

Once your broadcast is sent, you can track its activity through the three-dot menu associated with your broadcast. Click the three-dot menu and select Activity. This will direct you to the communications page, where you’ll see a list of contacts who received your message.

On this page, you can click on each contact to view their communication history. This lets you see the specific message that was sent to each contact, providing insight into how each recipient received and interacted with your broadcast.
