Aloware Talk's broadcast lets you send a bulk message or Ringless Voicemail (RVM) directly to contacts, using a wizard to guide you through message setup, contact selection, scheduling, and previewing.

It simplifies sending bulk messages by allowing admins and supervisors to select contacts through lists or filters, set specific broadcast times, and limit broadcast access to authorized roles only.

How can a business admin use this?

  1. Begin by clicking the '+new bulk message' button to initiate your broadcast.

  2. Select your contacts

    1. By list - click the 'by list' button, select your desired list, and then click the 'next' button. A preview will show all the contacts you've chosen for the broadcast.

    2. By filter - select the 'by filter' tab, then click the 'add filter' button to set your search criteria for finding contacts. Read more about broadcast filters in this guide.

    3. By integrations - if your Aloware is actively integrated with HubSpot or Zoho, you can synchronize their contact lists.

  3. Choose your message type

Decide whether your broadcast will be an SMS or a ringless voicemail. An important note is to include the opt-out phrase [Text STOP to unsubscribe] at the end of your message for compliance.

  4. Compose your message

Enter your message in the provided field. Once done, click the 'next' button to proceed.

  5. Set the schedule

    1. Now - send your message immediately.

    2. Pick a time - schedule your message by selecting the day and time for its delivery. Note that if an admin has predefined broadcast timings in the Account menu, you cannot choose a different time.

  6. Assign the line and throttle settings

You'll need to assign the line from which the broadcast will be sent. Throttling options are also available to control how fast messages are sent out.

  7. Review credits

Before you send out your broadcast, make sure to review the credits in your Aloware account. You’ll need to have enough credits available, as sending messages will deduct from your balance.

The broadcast cost calculator gives you an estimated credit usage for your broadcast. Remember, this is just an estimate, and actual carrier charges may differ slightly.

  8. Preview and send

Before sending, you'll see a preview showing the total number of contacts, the assigned line, your message, the schedule, throttling options, and the estimated cost. Review everything carefully, and if all looks good, send your broadcast.

How can agents use this?

Broadcast access is restricted to admins and supervisors, though agents can be granted access by admins if needed.

For steps on providing agents with broadcast access, refer to our user access guide.

What important configuration does this take?

For optimal and compliant use of RVM broadcast, ensure the following configurations:

  1. Audience selection - select the right contact list, filter, or integration for precise targeting.

  2. Throttling adjustment - control the delivery rate to manage message volume.

  3. Line selection - choose an appropriate line for consistent message delivery.

  4. Compliance check - ensure that the message meets regulatory standards for bulk automated messaging to avoid violations.

Aloware Talk's broadcast feature provides a user-friendly interface with filtering options, graphical representations, and a detailed broadcast table. It offers the tools you need to optimize your communication efforts and achieve your goals, whether you're messaging a small group or a large audience.
